In 2018, my husband and I set up Apollo to manage our small-scale acquisitions, project investments, and new startup projects. Back then, we were already running a successful software development studio. We had started investing in IP and startups through our software business but felt it would be better to separate the different businesses.
Apollo Black is our portfolio of small bets.
Perhaps it’s the start of a family office. We are undecided and in no rush to make this clear.

We quite like the passion, influencer, and creator sectors. Solopreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs—the lone creators who follow unconventional paths—are our people. We understand and support their desire for self-direction. They are the future of entrepreneurship.
In addition, our love for technology, specifically the Open-Source industry, is unwavering. We love its innovative ideas, imaginative thinking, and ability to drive change and create opportunities.
What luck that we are now seeing the rise of the creator economy, along with more solo/micro-entrepreneurship powered by exciting new technologies. It’s quite a time to be alive. It’s also immensely interesting to see the increase in platforms and tooling that empower individuals to express their creativity freely while controlling their time.
As a family-owned business, we feel that it is quite important that we are passionate about new ventures and tend to pursue what genuinely inspires us. Our mission is to support these creators with platforms, communities and services to unlock their potential and build successful digital careers - turning their time into assets and their assets into valuable investments and income.
With a fun-loving attitude and big dreams, we're diving into this adventure fuelled by endless creativity and determination.
If it goes well, it will secure a legacy for our kids. If it doesn’t, it will be one hell of a ride.
